Privacy notice
The short version: I only collect what you send me, I only use it to reply to you and to do the work you ask for, and I never sell it or pass it on.
Who I am
Hickman Works is run by Jordan Reed-Poulson, a sole trader in Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire. If you have any question about your details, email hello@hickmanworks.co.uk.
What I collect
Only what you type into a form on this site (the estimate form or the free quick review): your name and email address and, if you choose to give them, your phone number, your business name, your trade, your website or Google link, the services you ticked, the estimate the form worked out, and your message. The form also notes which page you sent it from and, if you followed a link I’ve shared (on a flyer or a post, say), which one. That’s how I know what’s working.
This website uses no cookies and no advertising or tracking. To count visits it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
If you arrive from a link with a tag (like the QR code on a card or flyer), your browser remembers that tag only until you close the tab, so a form you send can tell me which card or flyer worked. Nothing else is stored. If you’d rather it didn’t, use a private window or remove the part of the address after the “?”.
Why I use it
To reply to you, to send the quick review you asked for and, if we work together, to do that work and send you invoices. My lawful basis is your request (and, if we work together, our contract). I won’t add you to a mailing list.
Where it’s kept
Form messages go into a private Google Sheet and my email inbox, both in my Google account. Google stores them under its own terms. The website itself is hosted by Cloudflare. Nobody else can see your details, and they are never put into AI tools.
How long I keep it
If we don’t end up working together, I delete your message within twelve months. If we do, I keep what I need for my accounts for as long as HMRC requires (currently six years).
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it, at any time, by emailing hello@hickmanworks.co.uk. I’ll do it within a month, usually much sooner. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
